Why Donate?
Help us to continue conservation efforts for Dunollie Castle and the 1745 House Museum.
Since 2014 DPT has raised over half a million pounds towards the conservation of Dunollie Castle, which has included making it safe for visitors to go inside and reach the first floor, and removing damaging ivy, which was destroying the stonework. We have also commissioned archaeological investigation, which means we know much more about the history of the Castle.
Caring for the collection of historic objects and archives.
We look after two collections of artefacts of national significance, including social history and textiles, as well as a large archive of material relating to the history of the site.

Providing Dunollie Links activities for the benefit of our local community
Dunollie Museum, Castle and Grounds has a busy and extensive community programme known as Dunollie Links, with the aim of developing opportunities for a wide range of ages, interests and abilities in Oban and surrounding areas. We provide a safe and peaceful setting for groups to meet regularly, create bonds and combat social isolation, develop their skills, and improve mental health whilst connecting with their local history and environment.

Improving our facilities, including providing new displays, updating our systems and ensuring our visitor experience is a positive one.
We are continually looking for ways to improve the visitor experience at Dunollie – most recently we relocated the Kettle Garden Café, installed new trails for children and upgraded our paths around the grounds.
