About this objectCardboard box used for transporting / posting eggs. Rectangular, brown, with separate lid and six partitions, secured together with metal fastenings. The partitions are made from interlocking cardboard, each compartment lined with a rolled piece of corrugated cardboard (the inner compartments are no longer complete). Inscription printed in black on the top and sides with space for filling in name and address. Corroded staples around box have produced discolouration.
